The Hall AGM of April 21st was held virtually by the Trustees. It was announced that Andrew Cuthbert was to retire as Chairman. Andrew was a “Founding Member” of the Memorial Hall Committee in 1999 and absolutely key in organising the necessary grants, permissions, designs and plans for the wonderful Hall we know and love today. He was Chairman from 1999 until 2013 when Alex Wales took over. Andrew then returned as Chairman in 2016 for what was going to be a short time at the helm but ended up being in post for another 4 years. He has spent a large part of his life being a guiding light and devoted mentor to the Hall and it isn’t too much of a stretch to say that without him, the Hall would very probably not exist. He will be very much missed by the remaining Trustees and when this is all over, we will be raising a glass to Andrew in thanks for all his hard work over the years.
We are delighted that Andy Marsh will be taking over as Chairman.
Our lovely friend Alicia Stark, who lives in Glandford (and is a Ballymaloe trained chef) is making delicious food delivered to your doorstep. Please don't hesitate to contact her if you or anyone you know might be interested!
With apologies but the coronavirus means that we now have to close the childrens' play area and all the equipment and the playing field for the foreseeable future.
Please note that there is now a designated coronovirus information page on the website between the 'Home' and the 'About Binham' on the main task bar. This is will be updated as often as we can manage with information from the Parish Council and from the Government. It has useful numbers on it, it has links to the government website. Let us know if you need anything more.
Tuesday 24 March 2020
For the foreseeable future, the Hall will remain closed and all regular activities are stopped.
Please follow the government guidelines at all times - they are being updated regularly - in order to reduce and contain the spread of the virus. The most important messages are from the government (www.gov.uk/coronavirus) and supported by the NNDC (www.north-norfolk.gov.uk).
The Parish Council will endeavour to keep the village up to date by way of placing the most important information on the bus shelter and Westgate and Priory Crescent notice boards.

The Keeper of the Diary, Liz Brown, has just sent me a lovely review from a couple who recently got married. Beautifully simple, it says it all :
Thank you so much once again for allowing us to use the hall. It was a fantastic space to hold our reception at and we don’t think we could have found anything nicer.
Here you will find information about past and future events happening at The Binham Village Memorial Hall.
